| This is an example of an early
artist-designed houseboat, using all recycled materials. It has been owned by its present
owner since 1976. Main Features: The design is a hexagonal "yurt" design with
wood siding and shingle roof. The recycled parts came from various places, including Mare
Island shipyard and Marin barns and fences - also an arch from a SF Mission district
church. Note the stained glass in the doorway from a Haight Ashbury store and a loft
ceiling from a chicken house in Petaluma.
Approximately 1200 square feet, 2.5 stories, 3 bedrooms, concrete
floatation. |
