BULLARR.BMP (1234 bytes)Ark de Triumph

99tmaara.jpg (39845 bytes)
This Ark (formerly ArkElig) is one of the last of the more than 300 turn of the century arks of Marin County. Unlike most of the other boats, it does not float. It lives over the bay on pilings.

Over the past five years, the Ark de Triumph has been lovingly restored by its owner to reflect its unique heritage. It continues to be a work in progress.

Notice how its interior shows its history as two arks jointed together about 1907. Built of Douglas fir with tongue and groove walls, it sports a large deck for entertaining, exterior catwalks and brass portholes. The light airy open rooms include an office and an art studio as well as foyer, dining room, laundry room and 3 bedrooms. Note the 5 foot angel in the kitchen.

Approximately 1800 square feet, 1 story, 3 bedrooms, foundation on pilings.
