| This
spectacular houseboat is definitely a showplace. It was built in 1978
by Wesley Oyama at a cost of over one million dollars. The present
owners have loved it for over six years.
With three large floors and 4000 square feet, it is
one of the largest houseboats in Sausalito, and is certainly unique.
It has two large bedrooms, two baths and an indoor hot tub. The third
floor is done in traditional Japanese architecture, including a tea
room. Six skilled craftsmen were brought over from Japan to build the
third floor, a project that took them six months.
In striking contrast to the traditional third floor
is the downstairs, ultra high-tech media room just completed a few
months ago. It features a giant-screen TV, a surround sound system,
DVD player, and of course the latest in computer equipment.
This houseboat is tastefully decorated throughout,
and filled with the owners' extensive art collection.
