BULLARR.BMP (1234 bytes)13 Issaquah Dock - Casa de Amor

Originally built in 1985, this is a 1400 square foot, two story houseboat with three bedrooms and two baths. The cathedral beamed ceiling is home for a flock of unique and whimsical flying chair sculptures created by the owner/artist. Tourists lucky enough to find him at home could ask about the names and origins of these creations.

The boat features unusual interior and exterior paint themes and color combinations, including hand-painted flower pots on the front railing. The exterior paint scheme, controversial when first designed several years ago, proved to be so popular that the boat was repainted in the same colors last year.

The dock in front of Casa de Amor is known as the site of the popular "dock-alert" impromptu cocktail-hour parties during the summer months.
